Summary

Damaged Goods is the sequel to Don’t Call Me Hero.

The past few years had been difficult for former Marine Cassidy Miller. She’d left the military, joined the Minneapolis city police, only to voluntarily remove herself from active duty. In the tiny town of Embarrass, Minnesota, she met Julia Desjardin, the distant yet devastatingly beautiful city prosecutor, sparking a romance neither could have anticipated.

Now back in Minneapolis, things are starting to look up for Cassidy. She and Julia have reconciled, and she’s hoping to be reinstated with the Minneapolis police soon. But life is never that simple.

Cassidy can take off the uniform, but she can’t shake the soldier. Her flashbacks of Afghanistan are getting progressively worse, her new police partner resents her existence, and she’s not sure she’s truly forgiven Julia for what happened in Embarrass.

Can she enjoy this happily ever after, or will memories of a not-so-distant past slowly tear her (and Julia) apart?

Where’s the next installment?

Eliza Lentzski has created some terrific characters. I’m kind of in lust with Julia - or at least Lori Prince’s sexy-as-hell characterization. Cassidy can be a little whiny, but she’s lovable enough to cut her some slack. I’m ready for Book 3, please!

I love this whole series.

I love this whole series, and can't wait for the rest of it to come out on audible! There's only one issue I have. As a member of the US armed forces for more than 20 years. You don't call a Marine a Soldier! EVER! Soldiers are members of the US Army. Marines are always called Marines. Besides that I love the relationship, character development and the realistic depiction of a returning member of the US armed forces navigating back to civilian life. And how they and those in their life deal with set backs and triumphs. I recommend this whole series to anyone who wants a great book with an engaging story.

Much better

I love the series. it's one of my favorites. Lori Prince on the other hand has been hit or miss with me. for the first book of the series she read it too harsh and I couldn't listen to it and ultimately returned it. when this one came out I figure why not and I will admit she read this one better. it was smoother to me and not so loud or brash sounding. good adjustment and I can't wait for the next one.

Sequel

It was SO good, I literally finished it within a day and will probably listen to it a few more times.
Zero regrets. The collab of Lentzski and Prince is perfection.

This book had me on a roller coaster of laughs and tears. The struggles of trying to overcome PTSD was described very well.

Two of my favorite characters ever.

I loved these books. The are so real. The two main characters are probably my favorite ever. I am sad I have listen to the only two that are available now I have to wait or go old fashion and read them.

Excellent book

Dealing with PTSD is very important and this book deals with it very well developing the story line in a very good way. I like the characters and narrations by Lori prince is always a pleasure.
