I’ve read these books, I though it would be nice to listen whilst I do some other tasks. The narration is shocking. Not every sentence needs to be an exclamation, a shock or sarcasm. Not every woman under 39 needs to sound like Minnie Mouse or women in jobs of authority sound like 16 stone rugby players. The lady narrating might have good diction but she totally ruined a good story. I downloaded the entire series in an audible sale knowing I like the books, half way through book one and I’ve given up. I really tried to over look it but I couldn’t. Total waste of money, and such a shame to have e good books ruined, I’d be heartbroken if I were the author. I gave one star because it’s not possible to leave no stars.

Well written books. The narration takes a bit of getting used to. But overall very good

I am normally a fan of Rachel McLean’s books however these were spoiled by the narration - dreadful voices and every character sounded aggressive and/or angry!

Good books but the narration let them down!

I think the storylines are great but I couldn’t get to grips with the narration. Really odd - random changes of pace, sounding like it’s a children’s story at times, sounding happy or frustrated at the wrong times. Just odd. I had to give up on it. She has two stars as I thought her accents were very good.

The books all form one story arc. Drugs, murder, intrigue.
The performance is good, but you will probably have to adjust the speed (as is so often the case).
