Oh my gosh. Cross and Bren, truly adorable. I love them, everything about them. I love their relationship. I love how much they love and trust each other. I love the way they’re always there for each other, and yes, always have been, Crew comes first, but there is an understanding between them all. Cross and Bren, forever. High school drama with so many twists, so many turns and it would appear a few pawns being played. Bren is desperately trying to sort her life out, trying to be a better person, and as always Cross is there supporting her. What is the meaning of her life? Who can she trust? So much happening in her story. Action, suspense, oh, and a fair few surprises, both good and bad. How to write a review without spoilers, I just can’t. What I will say is I was addicted to the story, the characters, and of course Tijan’s style of writing that brings out the best in high school to life. I hope we get to see what happens after graduation, ‘cos I know whatever it is, it’ll make for a fun read. Narration was perfect from Therese Plummer, she was great in all roles narrated, sadly we only got to hear from Stephen Dexter for a few minutes.

What is it about Bren that pulls on my heartstrings? I just cry so hard for her. Between prom and graduation, gah, she slays me. This is an amazing story but it is really brought to life on audio book.
