I had a tough time rating this one because I really liked the storyline a lot, but at times the language used felt, at least to me, disproportionately raw/crude/basic. For example, my first impression of Ryan was that he might be a psychopath bad guy since his thoughts about Krista (who he had never even met) were a little extreme.

Sarah Grant was a new narrator for me. She was good, but there were some editing issues that were distracting from the story. I would listen to another book by her in case the editing issues were a one-time thing.

This story was good but some of the writing was off for me. Such as, these security guys protecting and hiding her from the bad guys let her use her phone to call her friend and make plans even after they said the phone had been tampered with. I did like the “good” characters in this book. The narration was ok. There were some technical issues. 🎧Audiobook Obsession.

I loved listening to Sarah Grant.

This is my first book of Anne Conley, and I have to say I did enjoy listening to this story.

We have suspense, murder, oh yes romance. Hot chemistry between the two main characters. Krista is finds herself in trouble and being chased my Ryan,

Ryan's senses soon releases that not all seems right. He finds himself protecting Krista.

Krista is on the run after witnessing one of the worst crimes. Her boss is a monumental creep with power and he won’t let her het away with what she saw. Ryan was hired to get her but instead he gives her protection. The story is full of action, suspense and romance. The narrator has a great voice but some characters were not represented that great. Overall, I had fun with the listen.

This book holds nothing back. It has a sensitive storyline that not many authors attempt to write about. Well done Anne, you have written this story with tact and emotion. Good performance from Sarah.
