About this listen
Joshua Bennett is a dead man. He lost everything when his SEAL team was ambushed. As he watches his family bury an empty coffin, he vows to make whoever is responsible pay. He wants revenge. For his lost leg. For his lost brothers-in-arms. And for the life he will never have.
Samantha York is the daughter of a religious cult leader. She knew he was cruel, but she never realized he was the kind of man that would auction off his own daughter to pay a debt. She cannot remember what happened to her that night. But it broke something in her just the same. Something that keeps her hopelessly trapped inside herself.
When Josh meets Sam, the darkness that surrounds him fades. He suddenly wants a life again. With his former team. With his family. But mostly with her. She is his broken Angel, and he will do anything to protect her and give her the life she deserves.
Sam is attracted to Josh from the moment they meet. And she can even see the life they can have together. But how does she come to terms with a past that lives in her nightmares? And when that nightmare comes back to claim her, can she ever be what Josh truly deserves?
Sometimes when the universe answers your prayers, it shakes your entire world.
Codename Blade, book 3 in The Omega Series, is intended for mature audiences over eighteen due to language, sexual situations, and depictions of trauma.

What I love about this author is how she deals with difficult subjects in a sensitive way and she never stops on the action. Just as you start to feel calm, something else happens. It's a wonderful ride, especially for those that like military romance, with a bit of suspense!
With this series, I also love meeting the familiar characters again and watching how their families grow. Tuck is such a cute dad and Josh seems to be taking on the challenge with gusto!
Tuck in book #1 was my FBB but I have to confess he has competition with Josh, who has been through hell and back again and on a chance meeting with Sam in a coffee shop, he manages to regain his zest for life; whilst at the same time bringing a new dimension to Sam's life which up until now has been a horror story. So it's a really great story about two damaged people reaching out and loving each other "warts and all".
I did like all the side characters and it would be good to hear how the boys progress with their business - the Harley seems incredible and so good that Josh is able to ride again - and I'm really looking forward to hearing about Kent and Havoc!
The #duetnarration was excellent by #ScottRider (new to me and I'll definitely be looking out for his other books) #HeatherFirth and #JoeArden
Thank you #BlueNoseAudio for allowing me the pleasure of listening and reviewing this book. All opinions are my own.

Scott Rider and Heather Firth are fantastic together! Telling this story is full of emotional and tragic obstacles, and these two bring them all to the surface. Rider's voice is the perfect mix of protector and soldier. He has the best sound for romance! Firth falls into character as Angel, and she finds each facet of her personality. She knows how to make Angel real and tug at emotions. I loved these two as they brought this one to life! Add in hearing Joe Arden pop in is a true pleasure!
Fantastic! Loving this series!

🎧📚🎧Heather Firth, Scott Rider, and a cameo by Joe Arden were the perfect cast to bring these characters to life and did so with a complete understanding of who they were portraying. I loved how they took their roles and owned them, sounding believable and just as I imagined the characters would sound. Heather Firth was a natural in her role as Sammi, grasping every aspect of her personality from her vulnerabilities to her strength, and grew along with her as her confidence increased. Scott Rider was just as fantastic as Josh, showcasing all sides of his personality and demeanor perfectly. Both were fabulous performing the roles of the side/secondary characters too. Joe Arden jumps in as Rourke, and nails it in his role. They set the right tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling each one. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their performance elevates the already amazing story to another level.
