5 settembre 1972, ore 4:30, villaggio olimpico di Monaco di Baviera. Un commando palestinese di Settembre nero fa irruzione negli alloggi della squadra israeliana. Comincia così la pagina più tragica della storia delle Olimpiadi e si concluderà 20 ore dopo con 17 morti. In quella squadra c'è anche Shaul Ladany, marciatore che, bambino, fu deportato a Bergen-Belsen, il campo in cui morì Anna Frank. Per la seconda volta Ladany sopravvive alla Storia. La sua vita è stata una lunga sequenza di passi, quasi un Forrest Gump che ha attraversato il XX secolo. "Perché puoi percorrere migliaia di chilometri, ma certe esperienze non le puoi sudare via.
