What made the experience of listening to Cake the most enjoyable?

Love the interaction of the two main characters, it was well written, and really well read.

Which scene did you most enjoy?

One of the first in the book. The wedding, it was really funny. But the rest of the book was great as well.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

If I could have I would have.

l purchased this book awhile ago and just left it my library. I kicked myself after listening and found out what i was missing out on a very fabulous book. This author is new to me and I am actually amazed that this is her first book. Very good and moving story. The narrators were fab . I love Andi Andrt and Joe Arden combo. Thank you . I'm going to purchase all her books.

I've been hearing about this story for a long time and I bought the ebook right at the start of the year but put it off because I was scared I wouldn't like it. But I was unexpectedly surprised at how; despite how horrific Jake's backstory is, low angst this is. This is really well written and pretty fast paced despite how long it is. I'd be interested in reading the rest of the McKallister family stories.

I wasn't sure if I would like this or not, but I was really so very pleasantly surprised. There is so much more to Jake than meets the eye. He has been through a lot, but can still love fiercely. I enjoyed the insight to his softer and more down to earth side. He had me laughing and he made me cry. I want a Jake!!!
Casey, what a strong and independent and level headed woman. I fell in love with how amazing Casey's character is. She is funny and loveable and heck I am in love with her.

The whole story was beautiful and I thoroughly enjoyed listening, that epilogue, had me ugly crying.... don't skip the epilogue, not that you could with that ending anyways!!!

Adored the narrators, they brought Casey and Jake to life, they gave them the most amazing personalities.

You HAVE to read Cake...it will have you laughing, it will have you crying, it will have you rooting for the girl next door, and swooning over the lovable singer. Just wait for the families, they are a hoot!!!
