Michael and Jamie both lived through the same nightmare as children, but with very different outcomes, which resulted in them living very different lives. When long buried bodies are uncovered there are more questions than answers and Michael and Jamie have to work together to keep Jamie alive and to find her brother Chris.
They last saw each other as broken and devastated teenagers, this meeting uncovers very different feelings for both of Michael and Jamie. We have seen Michael in protective mode before with Lacey, but here everything is intensified and he finally realises the love and protection he felt for Lacy were brotherly and there is nothing brotherly about his feelings for Jamie.....he has finally found his match!
It is a long and emotional fight as they uncover secrets, lies and corruption at the highest level and a little too close to home. This is a haunting book that will leave you emotionally exhausted but eager for more from the Bone Secrets series.
I initially read this on Kindle Unlimited but listened this time on Audible...the Audible version has much more impact!

This was my first Kendra Elliot novel and I will definitely be listening to/reading more! I loved her writing style and the way she kept the suspense and tension going. There was plenty of action and romance too. The heartbreaking subject matter of the story was sensitively handled and didn't sensationalize with lurid descriptions of horrific events. The plot kept me engrossed and the twist at the end was brilliant, didn't see that coming at all.
Luke Daniels did a great job and added to the overall enjoyment of the story.

Fab series of books that uses either some references to the same places or characters as in previous books, while still being vastly different, entertaining and gripping stories. Well written and well narrated!!

Loving this series…

A suspenseful story with enough twists to keep you paying attention. However the narration makes every male character sound like a 1920s New York gangster despite being located in Portland Oregon. I stuck with it because the story is so good, but will stick to the ebook in future.
