About this listen

They call themselves a religious community at The Larches. But is it a cult? It certainly has signs of being a cult. There's a charismatic leader, 'Elijah, who is always right. The community are made to feel afraid of the outside world, plus they are forbidden contact with their family and friends.

Liam, a former alcoholic, wouldn't call it a cult. He's grateful that they rescued him from the streets and he appreciates the community life. However, there are times when he resents the restrictions inherent in living at The Larches, especially when he falls for Jess and, as time goes by, he begins to realise it is not a "normal" community.
