Glenis Stott lives in St Annes, Lancashire with her husband and two black cats. She began writing when her daughter died in 1999. At first it served to help her with her loss but, in time, she began to enjoy writing for its own sake. She graduated with an MA in Creative Writing (Online) from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2006 She has had a variety of jobs ranging from radiographer to giving information and advice on a young person's helpline. Now she is retired, in theory, she has a lot more time to write but, in fact, spends a great deal of it wandering along the beach with her husband and drinking lattes in coffee shops. Glenis won the Cinnamon Press Novel Award in 2009 and has four self-published novels, also available as e-books. She has published poetry and short stories in magazines and anthologies and has written a novel, 'Dreaming of America: A Journey of Betrayal', based on the story of how her great-grandmother ran off to America with another man, taking only one of her eight children with her. The novel will be published as a paperback and ebook in November 2015 Aside from her family, writing is the most important thing in her life.
