Summary

A chance encounter. An unlikely hero.

Morris has always dedicated himself to his brothers in the MC, choosing the freedom of the open road over the monotony of family life. But a chance encounter with a single mother on the run causes his protective alpha instincts to kick into overdrive.

Alice Sparrow thought she had planned her escape perfectly, but everything that could go wrong, did. Bank account emptied. Broken-down car. No place to stay. But when she bumps into a handsome biker, she doesn’t have the luxury of walking away from his help, especially when she must keep her daughter safe.

What is supposed to be a simple act of kindness quickly turns into something bigger and more complicated than either expects...especially when it comes to matters of the heart.

Broken Sparrow is a steamy age-gap, single mother, hot biker stand-alone romance that's guaranteed to bring the steam and the feels.

As always Chelle gives us complex lovable characters and a plot that keeps us hooked from start to finish. This story has important real life situations highlighted. Domestic violence is far too common and I’m glad that she made the situations believable and gave us a survivor story. She didn’t fluff over the details, she writes authentic characters and a fast paced plot.

Alice is a broken woman at the start fleeing with her daughter and with the encouragement of Morris fortifies and lets her inner warrior woman shine. It is an Instalust/love story and these two are most definitely an unlikely pairing. The big burly biker and the broken little bird. Although we soon find out that Morris can be intimidating, he’s actually a BFG who totally falls for Princess Zoe, Alice’s daughter. There are a band of side characters that make up a motley crew working together to keep Alice and Zoe safe. Each character has their own story that just gives more depth to the book.

There’s some action in this book but unlike Chelle’s other MC books I felt more connected to these characters. Maybe because the situation felt so believable, real and relatable. I loved that Samantha showed us that Alice was vulnerable, but she was strong in her core. She was the fierce Mamma Bear when it came to Zoe and Samantha gave us a range of voices for the characters with ease. She conveyed the fear but also the strength in Alice so well. Morris is a gruff biker trying to go legit and when he stumbles on Alice he just can’t help but want her, having conflicting feelings about his former biker lifestyle being so different to what a future with Alice could look like. Jason was able to show us Morris’ protective instincts that kicked in early claiming Alice without making her feel like a trophy or puppet for his pleasure. This narrator pairing is one of my favourites and I’m so glad Chelle picked them both. They not only embodied Alice and Morris perfectly but were able to give us a cast of side characters and suck us into this book.

A well written story with an important theme of survival. An audiobook that I smashed through in a couple of sittings. I only stopped because…...work, but I promise you won’t want to put it down. There are definitely some funny moments, a little action, a boat load of feelings and some serious heat. An age-gap, single mum, MC book that will keep you from hitting stop. You can always depend on Chelle to deliver the goods and along with Samantha and Jason this audiobook didn’t disappoint.

Rough around the edges biker meets domestic violence survivor. You wouldn't think it would work but Chelle Bliss managed to create characters that were perfect for each other. I loved their story and I loved the narration, it was perfect.

Well what can I say Morris is a sweetie!

What an amazingly emotional story. Broken Sparrow follows Alice, a woman who is beaten down my her current husband and has escaped the abuse with her daughter (and what a cutie that daughter is). She meets Morris, who makes me swoon multiple times throughout the story. Seriously, for an alpha playboy, his thinking process really does it for me- protective, sweet but confused about what he really wants in life. I laughed out loud when he tried to curb his, umm, more creative speech in front of Alice's daughter. Full of heart and a beautiful story of finding oneself after being abused and living a difficult life, I really enjoyed living through this book.

The enjoyment was only intensified with this fantastic narration. Admittedly, I'm a huge fan of Jason Clarke and will listen to anything he reads. But Samantha Brentmoor was also really great, although her male voice was a little weaker. But overall, the narration was a wonderful complement to an emotional story. Absolutely a fantastic read and listen.

Gorgeous, emotional story

Alice has the perfect plan to run away from her husband but she does not expect the broken down vehicle or that he would know she left so early. She runs into her savior Morris and things start to look a little better until he finds her. Now she must stand up to him in order to gain the freedom she struggled so hard to gain.

Great Listen
