About this listen
Pushing Maddox Beneventi away was the hardest thing I’ve ever done… until the day I showed up at his doorstep clutching a positive pregnancy test.
If you’d have told me we’d be married a month later, I’d have laughed in your face. Because this tall, dark, devastatingly handsome billionaire couldn’t possibly be my happily ever after. Even if he was the only one I’d ever truly wanted.
Fairy tales don’t always come true—especially for a princess. But this isn’t a fairy tale. This is the story of how Maddox Beneventi saved me. How he fought for me. For us.
Maybe one day, I’ll tell our child the truth behind our so-called happy ending. About the pain… the devastation and destruction that was left in our wake. How hard we fought. First each other, then everyone else.
One day, I’ll share that the price we paid was the pain left etched on our souls. But that day? That day isn’t today.

Audiobook Review:
Narrated by Jason Clark & Samantha Brentmoor.
These two are some of my favourite narrators so obviously they have done a fantastic job with Maddox and Lennon.
We knew Maddox's story would be Breathtaking after seeing how he is always the wise one yet broken in the others story.
Lennon is a princess but her life is far from a fairytale. I liked how determined and smart she was without another female influence in her life. But family duty requires her to be marrying a guy that shows no interest in her but other woman all over the Europe. Her father is a just as horrid.
Maddox and Lennon had a past and both wanted each other yet she pushed him away because she is to be engaged soon.
5 yrs later when Lennon finds herself in Kroydon Hill visiting her best friend Grace. Only she gets rescued by the one man she has never forgotten, Maddox.
With storm brewing they are both back at his place. Lennon allows one night of indulgence before she sacrifices her life.
Everything went well until she finds something out next day and she leaves Maddox even more heartbroken.
Vowing to never see him again she goes back home, only to return 5 months later to give him the news.
Maddox had never got over her and wishes he fought for her back then. Now he is not letting her go no matter what.
Their journey was quite emotional, they had a lot of hurt to get over before moving forward.
I loved how he fought for her this time. Although he made their marriage as fake he was going to prove to her every day how much he loves her. Their chemistry was sizzling and ready to combust. It did take them a long time to get there though, so be prepared for the slow burn.
I loved her brothers future King Reece and the wild one Atticus. Loved how they supported her and stood up for her.
I hope we get their story one day.
I love this series and the audiobooks are just amazing.
Definitely Breathtaking

Brentmoor shines in her portrayal of the female lead, offering a nuanced voice that captures everything from inner turmoil to quiet joy. She brings warmth and vulnerability and making an effort for a European accent, making the character feel deeply authentic. On the flip side, Jason Clarke lends the perfect gravelly gravitas to the male protagonist — his voice is confident, occasionally brooding, and always engaging. Together, they bring a palpable emotional rhythm to the story, elevating even the quieter, more introspective moments with subtle inflection and heartfelt delivery.
The dual POV format is a major strength of Breathtaking, and the choice to have two narrators reinforces the emotional divide — and eventual unity — between the characters. The production is smooth and professional, with no distracting background noise or inconsistencies, allowing the listener to fully sink into the narrative.
Narration: 5/5
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️.5 /5
Plot: 4/5
Overall: 4/5

The nicknames, the forehead kisses, the dirty, dirty mouth on that man...sigh.
The way he loved Lennon, even when she made it difficult, was everything.
So possessive, so protective, so utterly perfect.
I adored Lennon. I liked her after reading Gracie's book. But now? Knowing everything they had to endure to get to their endpoint? I have so much love for both of them.
I couldn't have asked for a better story for Madman and his piccolo principessa.
There were some amazing surprises, some horrific tragedies, some stunning one-liners, as well as some good old payback.
Jason and Samantha were absolute perfection as Maddox, Lennon and their supporting characters. The range of accents and emotions they portrayed? A testament to the talent these two narrators possess.
There was one slight issue (which I think was part of the editing process), but I think most will not notice the small hiccup.
When the narrators are PERFECT...
