I am so pleased that Frederick Von Steiff has written this. Nowhere else, have I found a book which explains, in simple terms, all we need to know about how our brain balance is affected by certain chemicles, thus equipping and enabling us with the information which will help gus to be able to truely take responsibility for our own health. This book is revelatory. I understand a great deal more about the neurobiological factors of addiction whereas there tends to be a focus on the emotional and social factors. I believe this is a crucial text for anyone working with addiction as it gives an experiential and well balanced view of the inter-relation and inter-connectedness of neurotransmitters based on years of clinical observation. It adds another dimension to the addicted brain and there are fairly straightforward solutions - Policy makers and clinicians take heed!
