Story
When Jane and TJ agree to attend their high school reunion they never expect to come face-to-face with classmate-turned-stalker Lincoln the moment they return home. Unspoken words fester between them of the incident in the local woods 20 years ago when Evie vanished in a flash of amber light. They were the last three people to see her alive. But the trees have been whispering to Lincoln ever since, and as Jane and TJ arrive back in town, the voices call to him again, hissing three solitary words: she is here.

Fear has made Sue Wing run from the darkened school and into night, a fear so powerful she can only name it using the Cantonese myths of her grandmother: Cup-hu-girngsi, the corspe who drinks blood. Reporters like Rich Carter don't believe in the supernatural, but all the signs are pointing to the same conclusion: a vampire is stalking the streets of Rio Verde. No, Rich Carter doesn't believe in such things. Not yet.

Summary
Gilson Creek, Maine. A safe rural community. Summer is here. School is out, and the warm waters of Emerson Lake await. But one man's terrible secret will unleash a nightmare straight off the silver screen.
Under the full moon, a night of terror and death reawakens horrors long asleep. Sheriff Joe Fischer - a man fighting for the safety of his daughter - his sanity, and his community must confront the sins of his past. Can Sheriff Fischer set Gilson Creek free from the beast hiding in its shadows, or will a small town die under a curse it can't even comprehend?
One night can - and will - change everything.
"With slashing claws and blood-soaked fur, Blood and Rain will have you howling in terror and delight. A welcome addition to the werewolf mythos and proof that we're in the presence of a rising star in the genre. Highly recommended!" (Ronald Malfi, author of The Fall of Never and December Park)

Werewolf Horror
BLOOD AND RAIN by Glenn Rolfe is an excellent werewolf novel that deserves to be mentioned right along with the all time great werewolf books. Rolfe develops characters that the reader truly cares about in a very vivid town to go along with some excellent high tension and gore. The narration is top notch as I am quickly starting to expect from all audiobooks produced by Fireside Horror.

Just what I needed
Some books just have that special something that make you a part of the story. Where you are instantly immersed and don’t want to leave. (Oh, but you should leave, and quickly)
Blood And Rain is one of those books, not only does it grab your attention from page one, but it brings you face to face with a powerful beast. A creature that will have you simultaneously jittery with the brutal and merciless bloodshed and upset as someone you liked was just torn in half.
This is not just another werewolf story with a small town in terror on the night of the full moon, but a werewolf story done so well that it feels fresh and exciting.
The blood is flowing and there just isn’t enough rain to wash these back roads clean.
This was an extra special book being a Mainer as there were several places that were brought up that I know. The Great Lost Bear is as restaurant with amazing burgers and tons of beers on tap, York Zoo is a fun place to bring the kids where you can look out at the Atlantic when you are at the top of the Ferris wheel, and the Allagash River Waterway is a remote river in northern Maine that is loaded with Moose and serenity.

Terrifying & Addictive! ❤
There are two things in this world I'm terrified of. Sharks and werewolves. And the werewolves in this story took my terror on a whole new level. Out of all the werewolf stories I've read, watched on the big screen, this one has to be the best. What an outstanding story! 👏 Not only written with perfection, but narrated with brilliance. I highly recommend this to all lovers of horror, werewolf lovers, suspense, mystery, and damn good writing. BRAVO!

Good traditional type of Werewolf story
If you want a good typical werewolf story this is a good book, but with the typical horror cliches.
How many characters have to wet their pants, drop their magazine or gun in critical moments, the helpless dumb female characters, teenage kids doing the typical dumb things that deserved to get themselves killed, or typical racists country folks with small town mentality.
Aside for the usual recipe of a werewolf horror story in a rural setting, it is a good book if you are looking for that prototypical werewolf book.
Worth a read if you are looking for the traditional werewolf story.

A more traditional story
It`s long and drawn out. Not a lot of terror.
The pleasant narration lends itself to falling asleep.
When you awaken in the night, you know you have not missed much.
