Awful narration, what's with the whispering gruff voices? I didn't think the story was good either, main character was really annoying with his attitude towards people, not relatable.

Definitely won't listen to this narrator again.

I really enjoyed the story. It was well plotted and the characters were good. The narrator was also excellent and brought life to the characters.

there were parts that dragged but overall a very good book. I heard Angel of Death 1st. which was equally as gripping, so had to go back and listen to this one

It was a really good story with lots of twists and turns but ….

There were lots of really depressing sections with really depressing characters and really long descriptions which I didn’t think enhanced the story.

I usually really like this narrator but I’m sure not everyone in Sheffield speaks in slow and menacing whispers. Even the women who whisper away in every scene… and the men are harsh, violent, cruel and whispering! Ps the accent was good - even if it was in a whisper!

Soon and gloom and …. Hope
