disappointing

Love Peter May's books but this one didn't grab me. I got fed up hearing how every woman he came into contact with fell at his feet. Really Peter? The storyline was a bit fantastical and seemed more about the various love affairs the protagonist had going on than the crime. Yawnful!

Backlight blue

A gripping story line throughout. A clever balance of suspence and intriguing family influx of the protagonist.

excellent again

Well narrated, probably one of the best in the May audible series.Excellent storyline too l with good atmospherics but not dwelling on a thread line for 3 chapters like many similar thrillers do.

Peter Forbes really does great justice to the excellent writing of Peter may. An extremely formidable team long may they continue.

Enzo in trouble again!

Enzo is diagnosed with terminal cancer, one daughter nearly dies in an attempt on her life and his other daughter's boyfriend loses his gym to arson. Thus Enzo starts a new investigation, this time more personal to him.
Follows the format of the previous books. Your interest is kept alive with the story and characters. Not my favourite Peter May, but it would take a lot to beat his Blackhouse trilogy! However well worth a listen as part of the series or stand alone.

ok..ish

Rather pedestrian and predictable. I wouldn't reccomend it . I'm not at all sure why I listened to it all but it hurbled away whilst I was doing housework.!!!

Superb

Yet another gripping winner, and a perfect combination between the two Peter's, love the way everything gradually comes together to give an amazing experience👍
