Summary

The fifth Enzo thriller, from the best-selling author of Coffin Road, Entry Island and the Lewis Trilogy.

Puy-de-Dôme, France.

A silenced man.

Footprints in the snow lead to the murder scene of Marc Fraysse, France's most celebrated chef - brutally shot before he could make the revelation of his career.

A determined man.

Seven years on and the mystery still raw, Enzo Macleod, forensic investigator, forays into the heated world of haute cuisine to uncover bitter feuds and a burning secret.

A hunted man.

The Fraysse family history is as twisted as Enzo's own. And in his pursuit of truth, the depths of deceit threaten to consume Enzo - and that which he cherishes most.

This is the 5 in the enzo mcloud series and it did not disapoint. The narrator was excellent as normal and really makes the story come alive.

Rather sick of Sophie

Have listened to all previous Enzo books and have enjoyed them. However, not sure if I’m going to listen to any more as I find Sophie a complete irritant - she doesn’t add anything, rather takes away; what a shame.

Fantastic series, would love to meet Enzo!

Love the books and Peter Forbes brings them to life with his charming Scottish accent, female characters well portrayed, the right tones applied to each character. Marvellous.

If you are a fan of Enzo

Then this is an excellent story with many twists and turns and more background detail to the character of Enzo himself, a great listen for those that are hooked on Enzo.

Love the Peter May

Once again another good listen by Peter May and a superb narration by Peter Forbes....they are such a good combination. Overall story was good, but somehow felt I needed more closures at the end. Perhaps I just didn't want the book to finish !
