This is one of those can’t put it down need to know what happens next books.
The male narrators accent was very off putting at first as it is not accurate or consistent for where the character is from but you get used to it because the story is so gripping.

Shocking Dublin accent for Johnny Kavanagh. Actor is from Belfast, but cannot do an authentic Dublin accent. Hugely disappointing producers didn’t cast one if the many brilliant Dublin actors/narrators like Stephen Hogan or any other young Irish / Dublin male. Putting me off finishing any of the other books in the series highly suggest it it’s a re-recorded as once this TV show errors the interest in the books will grow.

Pity about Johnny Kavanagh’s woeful Dublin accent. Hugely distracting / off putting.

Good storyline. Relatable main characters, good comic relief side characters. My only criticism would be that everyone feels older than their stated age. Their thinking and actions are more like early twenties. The parents, (with the exception of Shannon's for plot reasons) are always conveniently distant and absent, kids live individual lives like adults. Otherwise, good read!
