Summary
As the story begins to unfold - in this, the second book of The Folk of the Twill series - Jack comes into a possession of a mid-eighteenth century manuscript, Buttercup takes her Art of Concealment Test, and Clay goes to the Marsh Gate to procure some pickled duckweed, and then, something totally amazing happens. And so we continue our journey in this picturesque Land of the Twill. We revisit the known places and meet the familiar personages, but then, upon being acquainted with some new characters — some lovely, some loathsome, but all equally colourful — we are hurled in a completely different direction.
