Great story

love the storyline, the end of the book was unexpected, but I love that the author went there.
Give me Zachary Webber's voice any day. He is one of my favourite narrators.

Absolutely loved this!

A great audiobook with fantastic narration! I loved the first book and loved this one as well! Sports romance is one of my favorites! This one has all the feels and emotion and the narrators bring it out in their performance as always. They are top notch and if you haven’t heard them you are missing out.

Benching Brady

This is a great second book in the series with strong characters and say passed to get over. Read brilliantly by Erin Mallon and Zachary Webber.

Wow

Love love love this book- I laughed, cried, cried ... cried more, swooned - great story, relatable characters - another amazing read from this author.

Brady’s past, wow, sooo sad,

Rylee, could she be the one to change the play boy of baseball - I’m trying to hard not to give spoilers here, but this is such an amazing book, clearly well researched by the author, I felt all Brady’s emotions after his injury, emotions dealing with his past and facing his future, stunning book

Perfect EVERTHING! Loved the story & Erin Mallon and Zach Webber narrate! *drool*

I loved this audiobook! The romance was was beautiful and the chemistry was sizzling. The storyline of love
and loss was squeezed my heart and never let it go. Riley was everything I wanted in a heroine: Strong, smart, sassy, and could go toe-to-toe with Brady. And what can I say about Brady? I loved him! He broke my heart at times, but put it back together and always kept me wanting more. The chemistry and passion between he and Riley was unreal and had me turning up my AC in late November! Their banter had me thoroughly entertained and a constant smile on my face. I even found myself tearing up a little at the end. Now that I look back I can’t believe this audiobook is nine hours long! It flew by and I still wanted more! I’m an official Samantha Christy fan and I’m running to listen to the other books in this series right away.

Narration was done by the audio-rockstars Erin Mallon and Zachary Webber so it was basically perfection. These two are automatic one-click narrators for me. If they narrate it, I’m buying it. Their narration here is absolutely effortless and you can’t help but get lost in the story and emotions. 5+ Stars.

10 STARS!!!

I LOVE this series!!! Man did Brady’s story break my freaking heart!! But it also put it back together! I loved Brady and Rylee’s story so much! I really love how this series not only gives you layers of characters and their stories but also teaches the game!! A lot of sports romances are not really about the game itself and this series gives us a lot of everything and its awesome. I love Samantha Christy’s writing style and this one was just as epic as every other story she writes.
And to top it off she always picks THE BEST narrators in the industry and I love her for that! they did an amazing job!

Great story except

I didn't like splitting up the narration into part 1 and part 2. It didn't allow us to hear about Brady's healing from his own perspective, only through the eyes of Riley.

Swoon worthy second chance romance

Don't you know, Rylee - You're everything to me. My Holy Grail. My jackpot. My perfect game.

Samantha Christy always deliver. Erin Mallon and Zachary Webber really bring Brady and Rylee's story to life. Brady started as a wounded and bitter man who have never faced the losses of his past when he met Rylee who was the team PT tasked to helped with his recovery. Rylee is strong and has secrets of her own to bear. They started out as friends and as the relationship developed and secrets are slowly reveal, you can feel the breakup and the possible heartache is hidden. You will ache for them and love every minute of it. Can't wait for Sawyer's story to complete the trilogy.

It was ok.

I’m not feeling the same love for BENCHING BRADY as I did for book 1, CATCHING CADEN. I know Brady has suffered a tragic loss and his pain is awful, but I felt more sympathy towards him in CATCHING CADEN where he was a compelling secondary character.

Although the writing is very good, I feel the potential for a gripping romance between Brady and Rylee was unrealised and I can't pinpoint why. The story was good, but not great. Perhaps BENCHING BRADY suffers unfairly from standing in the shadow of CATCHING CADEN’s extraordinary emotional impact on me. Nevertheless, because of CATCHING CADEN, I'll keep reading Samantha Christy's work.

BENCHING BRADY is the second stand-alone book in the Perfect Game Series. I would recommend reading the books in order because BENCHING BRADY contains important spoilers for CATCHING CADEN.

Narrator Zachary Webber was perfection (as usual). I always need a little adjustment period for Erin Mallon’s breathy way of speaking. Then I enjoy her work too. Overall, I loved the performances here.

Must listen!

I absolutely love this series and this is my favorite book on it! The chemistry between these two is off the charts. I cried a few times with what they went thru and the narrators really brought the characters to life.

Brady & Rylee

*****REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS*****

Audible review. Dual POV. Two parts. Book 2 of 3 in The Perfect Game trilogy. Narrators: Zachary Webber does a great job but Erin Mallon's growly voice gets on my nerves. Trigger warnings: light m/f a$$ play; sexual harassment in the work place; batting coach's wife dies from cancer; stalker; a mother was shot while holding her son who hit his head when she fell, they both died; a suicide; other woman drama; a mother with Alzheimer's; a father dies from a stroke; other woman drama; Stryker's father gave up his parental rights after Stryker was born.

Brady Taylor (27, aka Bray, Braytay, Baseball Man) wears jersey #3 as the left handed pitcher for the NY Nighthawks, has a woman in every city except Tampa & NYC, is injured by a baseball he pitched coming back at him and breaking his left elbow. His life changed 5 years ago when he was 22 when he lost his wife and son. Natalie Maddox (aka Nat) met Brady in high school when they were 16, Natalie got pregnant their freshman year of college, they got married and lived in married housing on campus. They named their son Keeton. Brady's junior year a crazy fan broke into their home to steal some of Brady's stuff but Natalie returned home and startled the woman who shot Natalie, when Natalie fell Keeton hit his head and died instantly, Natalie died at the hospital later that day, the fan committed suicide and was found later that day. Rylee Kennedy (26, aka Ry, Queen of Pain) is one of the Nighthawks' team physical therapist in Tampa, she is single and has a 3 year old son named Stryker. Gerald Kennedy (72) was Rylee's father, was a famous orthopedic surgeon, and died 4 years ago from a massive stroke. Georgia is Gerald's 2nd wife and Rylee's mom, is suffering from early onset Alzheimer's and has been living in a memory care facility in NY for 5 years. Rylee is Brady's physical therapist while he recovers from his injury. The two become friends but agree not to discuss their individual personal lives. Their relationship advances to friends with benefits until Stryker is injured when he climbs up trying to get cookies and falls. Brady takes Rylee to the hospital and the two part ways when Brady freaks out. Brady eventually goes back home without having any further contact with Rylee. Rylee left her job after her boss harassed her and moved back to NY. She was hired by Gavin, Griffin, and Mason to work as one of their physical therapist at their gym on Murphy's recommendation. 4 months later, they agree to date for 2 months without sex. They stick to the deal, date and then become engaged.
