Layla Moss came out to the wilderness to get away from the everyday grind. A nice vacation away from all things involving the women's section at her department store was just what the doctor ordered. She enjoyed her job, and sometimes she got to help bumbling, clueless men as they tried to buy something for the lady in their lives. Ben Best has been called many things in his life. Very few of them were pleasant, but as a park ranger he knew what to expect. Ben is the second book in the Bear Dating Agency series. However, the series name is a little deceiving because while a date is set up there is no actual set up for the date. I know from reading Dietrich that Ben has a profile set up at the dating agency but who know about Layla (her friend - not with the agency = set up the date for her). And, while I liked the story I also wanted more backstory. What's the history between Ben and the mystery man? Overall it was fun, but definitely a quick listen/read, coming in at just over an hour. There was not much steam, but the set up of the couple getting to know each other was fun but the reader/listener doesn't get to see munch of it. Overall it was a fun escape that I had on in the background while working. However, listening to the first two books in a row made it apparent just how formulaic these books are.
