She was sent to kill the king, but some men are too stubborn to die.
Roksana, the Dark Brotherhood's deadliest poisoner, traded her craft for a healer's apron. Herbs do not betray her, and the assassin's mark raises no questions in the Dwarven Kingdom.
Until her old master finds her. The price for his silence is brutally simple. One last kill. The notorious War King of Dagome.
The man she told to eat shit and die. The man who refused to stay dead.
King Reynard, berserker hero of the Lich War, is dying.
He knows exactly whose poison runs in his veins. When his hand closes around her throat, and he calls her his Viper, it is not a threat.
It is a promise.
Her skills to spare her life. His enemies' heads for her freedom. But the secret that could save his life, the Vivamancer's magic in her bloodline, she keeps to herself.
Now she has two choices. Betray the Brotherhood and save the man she tried to murder. Or obey Reynard and let his kingdom fall.
But every time his hand brushes her skin, she forgets she ever wanted him dead.
Perfect for fans of Sheila Masterson's Poisoned Daughter and Lauren Palphreyman's Wolf King who want their fantasy with poison on its lips, their kings on their knees, and their slow burn edged with obsession.
For mature listeners.

Roksana is a bold FMC that is handy with poisons, on the run from multiple enemies, has a shady past but high moral compass, and loves fiercely, especially her found sister and brother figures.
It has unique magic, a world of danger with assassins and mages battling for power, and Sana is stuck right in the middle. There is still plenty of mystery to solve, and drama brewing. The narrators do a great job of capturing the enemy to lover tension, the sass and banter, and help you feel immersed in this world.
Highly recommend.
