A century into the war, the Ascenders aren't the only ones who are tired. Fighting three against two the Empire, even with all of its advantages, can only fight to a slow and bloody retreat as more of its border worlds are occupied.

As Ascenders Matt, Liz, and Aster are working overtime to stem the tide, but even with their Ascender peers' Light and Shadow, they are barely keeping up.

As their enemies finally make their own decisive move, that may no longer be the case.

Don't miss Book 11 of this action-packed fantasy adventure that blends everything you love about LitRPG with Xianxia.

About the series: This is a mix between LitRPG and Xianxia. It's like a car that looks like a LitRPG with dungeons and skills, but the interior and engine are all Xianxia. It features a magic system and progression system that are logically and internally consistent, as well as realistic fight scenes and a rational MC.

Solid story progression and it kept me engaged throughout the book. I look forward to the next installment.

Entertaining as always.

The war is all around and with our group working so hard this makes lots of cool moments, discoveries and action scenes.
I do enjoy this series and although this leaves us with a couple of tantalising hints at what may happen a few books down the line it's still a great listen.
By now this is well embedded so narration is the usual top class.

Ascendinly good

finding the space parts so boring currently and the time skipping of 70 years etc feels disconnected. I'll edit this review when I finish the book. edit - it picked up with Aiden and Manny and put some ground work down for the next book, glad it picked up.

started slow and a slog. improved

Awesome follow up and development of the story. Cannot but recommend it. Looking forward to another in the series

Incredible series

The whole skipping 70 years, not really explaining how they have grown, what has been happening and the combat elements in space that really don't feel engaging at all with too many random characters added into the scenes to make it feel even more disjointed. Struggling to get engaged at all with this book. Am only at chapter 5 but might take a break with this.
