The Vainqueur the Dragon Complete Series Bundle is 4 full books of a LitRPG adventure about an arrogant dragon and his unlucky sidekick on their quest to become the world's richest adventurers.

Vainqueur Knightsbane is your average dragon: a giant, fire-breathing lizard who loves to take naps on his golden hoard, kidnap princesses for fun, and make the life of adventurers miserable. Vainqueur's only pleasure in life is to watch his treasure get bigger, one coin at a time.

So when a would-be thief turned unwilling minion tells him about "classes," "levels," and "quests," Vainqueur wonders if maybe, just maybe, he should consider a career change.

After all, why bother hunting monsters for free when you can get paid for it?

Experience this special edition LitRPG box set of Vainqueur the Dragon, by Maxime J. Durand, bestselling author of Apocalypse Tamer and The Perfect Run. Full of equal parts action and laughs, this story is a satirical take on the typical LitRPG and Isekai plot with an hilarious twist.

Entertaining from start to finish, and it's just nice to have a non-human protagonist!

Humor, non-human protagonists

I study literature, it is my job, I get paid to do so. But what I study is heavy, an dreary and often ancient and out of touch. Thus once a month I pick a book, on audible so my tired eyes need not actually read, and I listen to it merely for the relaxation. No essays, no deeper analysis no meta-lingual interpretation or explenation for anything.

This Anthology, was perfect. I defacto never give a 5 star, but for once will make an exception. I enjoyed the ride all the way through, I've had Vanqueur on near constently for 2 months whenever I was alone to myself in any given room not reading anything on paper.

It is witty and quirky, it provides a constent reflection upon it's own genre, a meta-analysis of constistently upturned expectation. I genuinely, besides one or two general situations, could not tell you what would happen next while reading. It surprises, and entices and I loved seeing all the parody on anime and manga(which I used to consume like crazy as a kid) come by.
It made me feel genuine joy and has reminded me why I read books, even if I listened to this one.

Some slight literary analysis,
I think Vanqueur places itself in a far larger literary tradition, than the author may himself realize. With both clever, puns, jokes, subversions and what I would call "shock therapy" it will keep you laughing, outloud occasionally.
With the main plot structure, character lay-outs, and the reflections upon it's own genres and tropes, it places itself in the same vain as Don Quichot, and in a more modern reading One Punch Man or Ciaphas Cain. Falling upwards in a parody form, through saviness, overwelhming skill/power, literal dumb luck and wits, being the name of the game.

With it's disastrously good humor, more often than not at the expense of poor Victor, it for me, is one of the better comedies I read in a while and relevant for any (former)enjoyer of anime, fantasy or the lit rpg genre, even if you haven't read or seen any of it in a long while. It is a happy coming home

A Masterpiece, here's my arguments and why I feel like I may give them:
