This year, I have been really getting into listening to audiobooks and this was EVERYTHING!! It has been a dream to hear the characters, Mia and Romolo, being brought to life! I thought the narrators, Vanessa Vasquez and Gabriel Spires, did an exceptional job!! Especially at my favourite part when Mia and Rom first meet and Rom's speech near the end!
Mia Morales is a 25 year old personal stylist, who enjoys bedazzling and taking care of everyone. She is very creative and the best at what she does. She is the daughter of the mayor-to-be, Carlos Morales, who has a mission that he is determined to see through. Mia is really relatable as she wants to keep the peace and does not want any conflict. Enter Romolo.
Romolo Ferraro is the youngest of three sons. His father is Gino Ferraro who is the Mafia don. He has been through a lot and doesn't believe he is capable of loving or being loved. I love the little things he does that show he cares like how he steals Mia's lip gloss and refuses to let his brother throw it away!! He is completely infatuated with Mia!!
Overall, I absolutely love the audiobook! I love the way they met. The build up. Everything. I love everything about this book, with the exception of a few characters. This had me giggling and kicking my feet in the air! It was like reading it for the first time all over again!! Be With Me was by far my favourite read of 2025 and has become my favourite read of 2026, too! I cannot recommend this book enough! Anyone who knows me knows I haven't stopped talking about Be With Me! I am really looking forward to reading the sequel and finding out what Gabrielle has in store for Cosimo and Fabi!
