While I enjoyed the story I found that the sex scenes messed with its continuity. It came to feel like adverts in your favourite TV show - every time the storyline started to develop it came to screeching halt for a makeout session before starting back onto the next part of the story. I have nothing against sex scenes but here they too often felt contrived and disruptive to the plot which was really disappointing because, as I said, the plot was really good.

A Very Ruby Roe audiobook, lots of sex, crude at times but a good mystery/adventure !
The narration is good although the two narrators should of 'got their heads together' in order to allow the secondary characters to sound similar (Morrigan has two very different voices) !
A good listen !

I’ve read this book a couple of times now but listening to it was a whole different experience! I really enjoyed it, makes it feel so much more immersive. And the spice 🥵. Really well done! Can’t wait to hear the other books in this series.

Really enjoyed the book- the audio narration really made it enjoyable. Story line was a little bit repetitive but the tension between the two main characters was pretty well done. Would recommend

I’m so glad I’ve started branching out and trying new genres, because I’m really enjoying the fantasy and game elements woven into this story.

This was also my first Ruby Roe book, and it definitely won’t be my last. The characters are animated and vibrant, yet still feel grounded and real. And the spice? Absolutely loved it *notes were definitely taken (ha!). 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
The fiery chemistry paired with the adventure made this such a fun, addictive listen.

The writing is funny, clever, and descriptive, with a fast pace that completely pulled me in. I found myself fully absorbed from start to finish. I also loved the novella at the end and can’t wait to dive into the rest of the series.

This is a strong start to the Girl Games series, and I’ll definitely be checking out more from this author. If you can, I highly recommend listening to this one. The narration is top-notch and truly elevates the story to a whole new level. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐
