Travelling into the past using the timelines of ancient artefacts, the Oblivion Order explore the forgotten centuries, ones that never made it into the history books.

Weaving back through time, the secret society of eccentric anachronists ensures the best possible future for humanity, making subtle adjustments to the past – saving us from oblivion.

Every alteration is carefully calculated, and nothing is left to chance. Until the day Joshua Jones, a teenage thief, breaks into one of their station houses and finds himself transported back to 1944 – where he accidentally changes the outcome of WW2.

Josh is inadvertently pulled into their secret world of alternate realities, temporal guilds and chaos demons. With the help of Caitlin, a beautiful librarian, he learns to harness his abilities as she shows him a future he never dreamed he could have.

But beyond the temporal borders, an ancient evil is gathering, threatening to devour every moment that ever was.
Will Josh fulfil his destiny? Will he come to terms with his past?

A fast-paced, time travel adventure, Anachronist will take you on a journey into a world not bound by the rules of time, exploring history and the consequences of changing it.©2018 Andrew Hastie (P)2023 W.F.Howes Ltd

I loved the characterisations and distinct voices used to bring the people to life. Generally brilliant use of accents (with only one slightly dodgy Italian which made me grin rather than groan.) The story makes the magic, science and mystery of interfering in great historical and deeply personal alternate timelines sufficiently believable without bogging down the story. The charming rogue turned fish-out-of-water is done well enough to be fresh, engaging and helps drive the story. I already placed a pre-order for the sequel but may just have to strap a time control watch on my wristand go for a spin in my past so I can discover the story all over again.

Great Twist on Time Travel, Excellently Narrated

A wonderful story. Hugely engaging and brilliantly told. A mixture of fantasy and sci fi it was hard to put down. I can’t wait for the next instalment

And also a word about the brilliant narration. Could not have been better.

This author has a vivid and colourful imagination. I somewhat struggled to comprehend the settings and got annoyed with the coded dates, but otherwise there’s so many different little adventures that are very inspired. Revolves around a rough London teen who’s on the poor and criminal end of society, until he mixes with a time travel agency, so to speak. This story makes use of many cultures to provide varied twists throughout.

Wildly imaginative time travel adventures

For me this was a very pleasant surprise. Great content and refreshing story line that was well read. The variety of different voices from the narrator mixed with original ideas. I am going to download the next story right now. Thank you. I definitely recommend this audio book.
