About this listen

Ahren and his companions journey on to Evergreen, finding new courage after the traumas of the Green Sea. Setting off, then, to traverse the continent in search of the missing Paladin Yollock, it isn't long before they find themselves sucked into a maelstrom of adventures involving a woman who has been robbed, a desperate Cape Verstaad grandee, not to mention a cutthroat city which proves itself a veritable nest of ne'er-do-wells. Controlled by the brilliant assassin Reik Silvermantle, this hub of lawlessness and immorality presents Ahren and his friends with one of their greatest challenges . . .

Whatever the cost, even if it means delaying the audio versions until Gildhart is free to record, please make it happen.

As of now, it's honestly a struggle to care now about any of the characters. Voices all sound the same and some pronunciations are just atrocious which all in all, detract from the story that has been building for so long!

I'm struggling to listen and get through it and when I do, I find myself cringing a lot as it so often feels like a high school drama recital. I just don't think this new narrator's skill matches this type of book/series.

Can't see myself being able to finish this series through audio if the narrator stays the same unfortunately. may have to switch to reading the remaining if I can be bothered sadly.

Please get the old narrator back.

I have been following this story now for some time. Changing narrator at this point ruins flow. I mean why is Trogadon suddenly Scottish?

Why change narrator?

After listening to all the previous books I was so linked with the characters so to My surprise a new narrator and I feel short changed. The characters have almost died, the differences are far too great to make it plausible.
For the first time in this series I'm looking forward to the end of the book so I can get onto the next and back to the characters I know and love, not their happy shopper replacements.

Great story once again, narration a let down

Good story and the narrator makes it flow. I was a little nervous of listening to this having read the previous reviews but I am glad I did as within a few chapters I had adjusted to new narrator and new voices of characters.

Excellent
