Nina

Charming, captivating, seductive—and a cold-blooded killer. I married the Pakhan of the Russian Bratva anyway. I had to, it was part of the deal.

Now, I’m faking marital bliss as I tremble with fear, and I cannot wait to be out of the clutches of this ruthless man.

Roman

I get anything I desire, and I want this perfectly imperfect little manipulator. The way she can deceive anyone into believing she’s crazy in love with me just makes me want her even more.

She doesn't know it yet, but I am not letting her go.

The deal is off.

I chose this book because of the MMC in the wheelchair. Does this book has a lot of spice? No. Does this book has a mind blowing plot twist? No. But it’s really light and beautiful story about love. I know Russian and pronunciation of “Malyshka” was changing every time. Sometimes it was unbearable to hear.

This is a great mafia romance, first with being first into marriage only to fall in love. With a deadly dance going on around them, it was fun to see them manifesting around each of their jobs. Worth a listen.

I wish the voice actors would always do the lines for their respective characters even when the chapter is not theirs. I think it would be better than just the voice change while we already have one specific voice for that character in mind, more immersive.

Good book! Nice story and easy to listen to

I read this on kindle first, then tried to find something I liked to listen at work and thought I’d try this series again. The voices didn’t disappoint (sometimes they make or break the story) but honestly, they added to the Mafia feel. the story is good, solid. Amazing first in the series

Love it in audio too
