Summary
Red Snow is the eagerly awaited follow-up to Dark Pines, selected for ITV's Zoe Ball Book Club.
Two bodies.
One suicide. One cold-blooded murder. Are they connected? And who's really pulling the strings in the small Swedish town of Gavrik?
Two coins.
Black Grimberg liquorice coins cover the murdered man's eyes. The hashtag #Ferryman starts to trend as local people stock up on ammunition.
Two weeks.
Tuva Moodyson, deaf reporter at the local paper, has a fortnight to investigate the deaths before she starts her new job in the south. A blizzard moves in.
Residents, already terrified, feel increasingly cut off. Tuva must go deep inside the Grimberg factory to stop the killer before she leaves town for good. But who's to say the Ferryman will let her go?

Gloomy very noir story.
A very dark tale with several plot holes I think and one that really relies on having read the previous novel to get the full sense of menace.
I listened but didn’t enjoy.

Not the best
I found this book to be very long winded and drawn out to the extent of being boring. I persevered to the bitter end which I found not to be plausible. Very disappointed

Another masterpiece
Once again the writing style draws you in and keeps you transfixed. The single person view point is mesmerising and the story continues developing, but it is the strength of the characters that make this author truly great. I really hope that this is not the last in the series.

Disappointing sequel
Bizarre setting and characters. Plot was thin and disjointed and the denouement was not particularly credible. The narration was stilted and there was a lot of incorrect pronunciation.
Didn't enjoy as much as the first book in the series and will probably not use a credit to listen to the next .

Authentic and atmospheric
This is the 2nd of Will Deans books set in deepest darkest artic. The narrator is clearly Scandinavian and her beautiful accent accentuates the atmosphere of the story.
Give it a go - I’m going to start his 3rd story tomorrow - now that’s a reconnmendation

Not as good as Dark Pine
I was really looking forward to Red Snow as I had enjoyed Dark Pine as it was so different. However I found the second in the series to be a bit long winded and boring in places and not such a good ending. In fact I thought this ending was a bit silly. Sorry Will Fingers crossed for the next in the series

Top Will Dean Fan
I just love this author and this sequel to The Dark Pines did not disappoint. A long book but so worth the listen. I adore Tuva. Great narration too. Thank you Will! All the stars!

Really getting into this series now
Off to download no 3 immediately. Love the softly spoken narrator. Good story lines and characters that you can engage with.
