For me it's a change from my usual fantasy but for 8 and a bit hours this was a really solid read. The characters were cool and the settings tickled my steam punky urges. Ending did feel a bit rushed but was still a good end to the story.

the story itself is very good. I will be buying more in the series
I'm looking forward to the film that is coming out next year 2018

Not a bad book but didn't seem to really catch me. Interesting world building with a lot going on however It feels aimed at a young audience with quite obvious even on the nose writing. Lacked fleshing out and some depth.

A well told story made real by the narrater, making this alternate future world come to life.
I wish the author had expanded on the functions of the gut and reclamation of the prey however an enjoyable story and I am looking forward to.the next book.
