About this listen

The fourth and final installment in the spellbinding series from irrepressible, number-one New York Times best-selling author Maggie Stiefvater.

All her life, Blue has been warned that she will cause her true love's death. She doesn't believe in true love and never thought this would be a problem, but as her life becomes caught up in the strange and sinister world of the Raven Boys, she's not so sure anymore.

In a starred review for Blue Lily, Lily Blue, Kirkus Reviews declared: "Expect this truly one-of-a-kind series to come to a thundering close."

Critic reviews

"Male or female, young or old, human or not, [narrator Will] Patton perfectly captures each character's voice and personality, maintaining the consistency of the series. He's a master at creating suspense, conveying action, and helping the listener feel the full weight of love and sorrow... This don't-miss performance rounds out an excellent young adult series with crossover appeal for older listeners." ( AudioFile)

All visceral emotion came out through and I could visualize and sense it. Wonderfully imagined by the author and so well performed by the narator. Thank you for this thrilling journey.

Tremendous story! And the narator is out of this world.

If possible, the final book in this series is even stranger than the four previous books. It wraps up the various storylines in a relatively satisfying manner, allowing for the overarching sense of oddness and wonder that the series is blessed with. This wasn't my favourite of the four books, but I enjoyed it and am happy with how it ended. Stiefvater's writing style is really recognisable and fun, her characters are all flawed and lovely, and her world building is incredibly creative.

A strange and wonderful finale

There is so much I can tell you about this book but I do rather you read and discover them for yourselves.
I have been exhausted by the dystopian and urban fantasy clap trap being churned out by the book industry lately. Faddish zombies, sexy wolves, trendy witches , Princess stories thinly masked. Well here is something really different!
Read it and enjoy!

Keep them dreaming!
