Summary
It has been more than a year since society fell.
The population has dwindled as a second winter has come and gone. The roaming gangs are now dug in and fortified or have died of starvation or violence.
The safest place to be is inside Altor, the domed city that stands like a jewel in the Nevada desert. But it is not paradise inside the dome either. Janus, the nearly all-powerful Artificial Intelligence, is taking over. SPOILER ALERT!!!!
c'mon Shawn , how can you have JANUS do what he does,including the murder of hundreds in ALTO alone, then fob it off as just a paragraph that happened....the Ai needs to be accountable and an explanation needed...or a standalone book on JANUS and the reasoning behind it....
other than that it's brilliant....
I highly recommend....

A worthy final chapter for a great trilogy
I saved this one so I had something to listen to after Christmas. The temptation was to binge the whole thing but I was good and held it back.
The story was a great end, skilfully intertwining the worlds of Shaun Inmon.
So great to have a very satisfying end to the Altor story arch. I began to suspect where some things were going but that did not detract from the journey.
Please visit this world again Shaun. It would be interesting to see where you go next time!
