The story isn’t very deep, but i don’t think it needs to be. The book is hilarious and highly recommended (from me at least).

I loved it. It was fun and interesting and had hyper moments, but when most of said hyper moments are by a somewhat emotionless cyborg, it doesn’t feel so bad. That was probably my fav part of the book. I tend to listen to books at night so I need something mellow to help me get to sleep and this did just the trick.
The only problem I have with it is that all of the non-humans have a Scottish accent. It’s kind of annoying. But over all it was great. U should get it. :3

I as tempted to give this story a one star review. But that was for one reason, and one reason alone. So, in the end I decided to give the story the 5 stars I would have otherwise given it, and mention 'the one thing' at the end as a warning.

I'm not going to describe the story. The story comes with a blurb that I don't want to add to since I don't want to spoil anything. (That's a compliment.) Instead let me go over a few things:

Premise: I really liked the concept. I discovered the whole LitRPG genre about a year ago, and been binging it ever since. Maybe there are more stories that have cyborg, but it's the first time I came across it.

Humor: Since the story literally has 'humorous' in the title, let me address that. Maybe it's not my humor, but it's also not bad. I didn't laugh out loud, and I didn't find any stupid jokes. I was entertained... amused. And if I had to make an either/ore choice, is it funny or not, then I would have to pick yes.

Narrator: Amazing job. So much so that I looked her up to see what else she narrated. Not only does she have the range to give pretty much everyone their own voice, even the men, but she also inflected, paused, raised her voice, in all the right places to make you truly experience the story.

So, on the above, easy 5 star.

Then what is the thing that was so bad that I almost gave it a 1 star?
The character overviews. Now, don't get me wrong, it's a LitRPG, the 'stat screen' is part of that genre. It goes along with it just like kissing goes along with a romance story. That is not the problem. The length was the problem.

You don't notice it in the beginning when she is new to that system. But it gets longer and longer.
Picture this, the time I really realized how long it was. I am getting ready to take a shower, the 'stat screen' starts. I take my shower, dry off, get dressed... and then the 'stat screen' ends.
Hmm, that was long, I think. So the next time there is a stat screen, I decide to actually look at my phone. 30 minute left in the chapter... and the rest of that chapter is just the stat screen.

And the last stat screen of the book was a stupendous 39 minutes. No, that is not a joke.
I'm seriously contemplating if the writer put that in there to troll the reader. Well, if so, it's funny in a book, not so much in an audiobook where you have to listen to it.

So, why did I decide to give it 5 stars in the end after all? Because at least the long stat screen only happens four times in the story (still almost 2 hours of audiobook wasted). And at least once you know it, maybe from reading this review, you can just skip over it to the rest of the story.

Great stuff nice idea. liked the story novel twist just fun. only complaint I'd the 20 min to stat sheets were a summary would be as easy but it came from a Web novel so hopefully this gets better in the next book that I will definitely be buying.
