Summary

For ballet dancer Laurel Berg, no amount of artistic expression ever seemed enough to satisfy the ravenous muse within her. Painting didn't have enough brush strokes, music didn't seem to have enough notes.

But when the company director announces Ace, front man of the band Apollo's Suns would have a special appearance in their new production, she had no idea she'd be amidst the King of the Muses himself.

And when magical things start happening, things she can't rationally explain, she'll discover there's more to rock star Ace than an ego the size of Mount Olympus and a dazzling smile that could put the sun to shame.

Apollo

I love this series, and you do not need to listen to these books in order as they do stand alone very well. Apollo is a rock god, that is use to women throwing themselves at him, until he meets Laurel. Laurel has been burned pretty badly in the past from a relationship and has closed her heart off from finding love again. Then she meets the insufferable rock god and her life changes. I love the banter between these two and the natural progression their love story takes. Elizabeth does a fantastic job with the narrative and bringing this story to life.

The arrogant god meets his match

I really enjoyed Ace/Apollo and Laurel's story.
Ace is the arrogant front man of Apollo's Sun's, and also the god Apollo. When he meets Laurel he finds someone who is moved by music, unlike anyone he has met before.
Its a 'hate at first sight' for Laurel, and Ace has to work at getting on her good side, but I really enjoyed their conversations.
There is a lot of ballet and music references that went over my head, but they didn’t stop me from understanding the story.
I love how other 'gods' pop up in the story, just doing everyday jobs.
The narrator does a really good job, very easy to listen to and easy to know the difference between characters.

Wonderfull story

I love this story. the characters are well thought out and very likeable. Ace is stuned when he meets Laurel. She is a refreshing change from the other women who come to his concerts. As they get to know each other he reilases that she is the first person to inspire him.
Laurel has strived to become the principal dance with the ballet all her life, but she has never quite made it. Perhaps the King of the Muses can give her the extra spark she needs. Wonderfull story. Excellent narration.

Greek Mytholgy

I’m really enjoying this series this book follows Apollo (Ace) who the lead of a rock band. Ace is a bit of a Jack the lad never tying himself down with a girl and kicking them to the kerbside when he’s done with them , that is until he meets Laurel. Laurel is persuaded by her BFF Kate to go to the concert as she won vip tickets when Laurel meets Ace she’s not one but impressed with him and makes sure he knows how she feels about him. Then the cat and mouse begins with Ace turning up in random places where Laurel just happens to be , eventually she softens to him .

loved

Elizabeth Chappel did a great job with the narration.

Ace is the lead of a rock band Apollo's Suns, and more important the Greek God Apollo himself! He is such an amazing character! Laurel, a ballet dancer, is beautiful, strong, and independent.
A fun, well written and narrated romance with mythology themes through out.

A story to light your ears

Since Apollo is one of my favourite Greek Gods I dove right in and finished it in a day . Love how Carly Spade takes a Greek god and writes a story about the special aspects of the hero. Throw in some magic and the heroine, Laurel, who. Means something special to Apollo.
As we saw in book 1 Hades , Apollo ( Ace ) has his own rock Band , he is the god of music and light. He meets Laurel at one of his concerts . Apollo sees she’s not impressed with his type of rock music. Laurel Is a ballets dancer , her special love for ballott is not really formed , until Apollo somehow inserted himself to the school. That’s when the magic takes over. Laurel doesn’t know how . Or why. Love how Carly Spade took the story of Apollo and Laurel and allowed Apollo his side of the story.
Love how Carly took who Apollo really is with this saying….. I am the sun, but you light the way." -

First time I heard Elizabeth Chappel but she was great , her voice is smooth and strong, love how she did Apollo ( Ace ) and Laurel

ok

This book was a little stiffer than then other two in the series. I really felt more disconnected to the woman lead - maybe its a personal thing as I'm not a dancer/musician/arty type. It also took far longer for the two leads to actual get along which made things much harder to bloom in my mind.
