Summary

Asher's ordinary life is shattered when he is suddenly yanked from his daily commute and thrust into a brutal world of monstrous creatures, deadly traps, and the relentless games of the Nexus.

The train station harbors danger. Each day, one portal opens, leading to daunting trials and battles of life and death commanded by masked facilitators.

Asher is forced to rely on his instincts and his weapon. He must navigate this treacherous world, both solo and with teams, and contend with other players, each harboring their own motives and ambitions. Confronted with unimaginable challenges, every day unveils a new hurdle, and each victory is bitterly earned. In this world intent on crushing him, Asher must fight to survive.

His only hope: become the champion.

Reminds me of Squid Games crossed with a LitRPG in a good way. Best litrpg I listen to in a while.

This is just simply amazing. I can't wait to see how the story continues. Awesome performance from Luke as always.

Aahhhh I need more 😅

I was starting to feel some Litrpg fatigue until I stumbled on this little story, I have not listened to any of the other books yet, but so far I have really enjoyed this. Would recommend a listen. Brilliant voice actor too!

If you're bored this can be slightly entertaining. It just didn't have the wow factory or the world building of other similar LitRPG. It neither has the danger aspect cuz frankly the MC just seems like he breezes through everything nor an end goal or motive behind his actions. He had a goal to get back to his dog but even the dog is summonable now. So yeah, the MC just feels hollow and has no actual substance to the story. Compared to other books like DCC where their lives are in actual danger and MC and even the Side Characters have more personality.

it's okay, nothing too great.
