About this listen

At 30, Duncan Bannatyne had no money and was enjoying life on the beaches of Jersey. He saw a story about someone who had made himself a millionaire, and decided to do the same. Five years later, he had done it, and now he is worth £168 million.

In this remarkable book, Bannatyne relives his colourful path to riches, from ice cream salesman to multi-millionaire, explaining how anyone could take the same route as he did, if they really want to.

Hugely articulate, and with numerous fascinating and revealing stories to tell, this is an autobiography and a business book unlike any other. But then, Bannatyne isn't like any other businessman, either.

Massively entertaining book, helped hugely by such excellent narration from David Rintoul who sounds exactly like Duncan! Very down-to-earth and for the most-part light-hearted. Four stars simply because James Caan's authobiography (which he reads) is much more intimate by comparison.

Any additional comments?

Very interesting story of Bannatyne's life with some suberb insight into his mind and thought process. Definitely something that would appeal to entrepreneurs. My only criticism is that it's a bit short.

Good insight into the shaping of an entrpreneur.

Really enjoyed the listen, narrated brilliantly and in my opinion definitely worth purchasing. The audio book is around 3 hours long and you'll get through it quickly but it is a superb insight and summary into a fantastic story. A great treat for any fans of the Dragon's Den television show.
