Summary

At 30, Duncan Bannatyne had no money and was enjoying life on the beaches of Jersey. He saw a story about someone who had made himself a millionaire, and decided to do the same. Five years later, he had done it, and now he is worth £168 million.

In this remarkable book, Bannatyne relives his colourful path to riches, from ice cream salesman to multi-millionaire, explaining how anyone could take the same route as he did, if they really want to.

Hugely articulate, and with numerous fascinating and revealing stories to tell, this is an autobiography and a business book unlike any other. But then, Bannatyne isn't like any other businessman, either.

Great Audio Book

Really enjoyed the listen, narrated brilliantly and in my opinion definitely worth purchasing. The audio book is around 3 hours long and you'll get through it quickly but it is a superb insight and summary into a fantastic story. A great treat for any fans of the Dragon's Den television show.

Interesting listen bit vague

Wish it was longer with more stories and Buisness insight. Also was disappointed that it wasn’t Duncan reading the book

Just what I needed helped me push some of my thoughts and worries aside, whilst listening to this inspirational story about Duncan Bannatyne I was drawing new designs and working on my own business plans and ideas.

Inspired!

I’m 35 years old and have numerous young businesses which are really starting to take off! This book has inspired me that I really can do this and to continue working hard! I actually got offered a role by one of Bannatyne’s leading people in his gym’s but I politely turned it down to focus on my own entrepreneurial journey. Best decision I ever made! That being said, Bannatyne has been a huge inspiration to me.

Not Long Enough

I enjoying it so much and then it ended abruptly, could have done with a lot more personal stories from Duncan.

Fascinating!

A really interesting man. What I like most is that he gave due credit to those who worked for him and made no secret of the role, however small, luck had played in his success.

One thing I did find a bit irritating was his habit of beginning a new section of a chapter with "People often ask me ..." and then answering his own question. But it's still a very good book.
