Summary

When you kick evil to the curb, it kicks you back.

What peace Helo had hoped for by defeating King on the Tempest is short-lived. Evil doesn’t go quietly, and it’s always hungry for revenge.

After his parents are murdered, Helo rejoins the Ash Angel Organization ready to hunt creatures of evil and obliterate the six remaining Dread Loremasters. But terrifying portents from Tela Mirren’s dreams and dire warnings from Aclima hint that crossing darkness incurs a terrible price, and Helo will be the one who pays.

Loved it.

Not the normal genre for me, but I really enjoyed it, and can’t wait for the third book to be released.

Like seeing an old friend again.

It has been a while since listening to book 1, and I sometimes find it hard to get back into a book series when there is a gap between books, preferring to binge listen a series when they are finished.

Ash Angels: Angel Born was not an issue. Instantly, Fullers writing and Bray’s narration take you straight back to where you left off.

I loved every minute, characters new and old are brought to life with fast paced action sequences and laugh out loud moments. The imagery that this book conjures up is outstanding and you will fee your heart pounding as the action picks up. You will grit your teeth with annoyance at characters who hinder Helo’s path.

Can’t wait for the third instalment, and maybe, just maybe someone will see the opportunity to make this into a series or movie, it is screaming out for a screenplay.

Great fun!

Excellent 2nd book in series

But talk about plot armour. Oh man! The protagonist is invincible!

I liked the first book more, it was easier to understand. Found this one a little complicated! But still loved the world building.

Have already preordered the 3rd book. Mystery of light.

I'm Hooked.

I love this story.

The author and narrator have created a world that pulls you in and makes you forget reality. I found myself listening g constantly, finding excuses to disappear off to continue the story.

this is a great follow up book to Dread Uprising with a great climax and cliff hanger ending all in one.

I know book 3 is available in paper back and for the first time in years I can't wait for the audio. so book was purchased the moment this ended. I shall however look forward to Mr Brays interpretation when it's available.

don't pass this series by, you will miss out something so outstanding.

Superb

Fantastic book loved everything about it. RC Bray as always is perfect in my eyes when it comes to narration and I had bought the first book just because of him but it’s now a double whammy now I know the story is just as great. Hopefully there will be many more to come!

Trace goes Super Saiyan!

Brian K. Fuller crafts an excellent Book 2 to the series. Trace seems to attract more than a normal share of female admirers in a kind of platonic harem way. There are several twists, emotional relationship dilemmas and some intentional loose ends which begs for another book in the series. Even so, there is also some closure on at least one 1st tier characters.

R.C. Bray's performance continues to be quite good.

Came back after disappointment

The first book in my opinion was disappointing due to how preachy it felt, the only reason I came for the second is due to the twist at the end that made up for the rest of the first book. I was expecting a bland story that Bray, as always, would perform flawlessly. I was very pleasantly surprised at the wholesale improvement this book is compared to the first. It feels as if the author was in a better headspace for this one. I'm am very happy with this, and as Stated Bray friggin murdered this performance.
Also, why is Abadon Skippy?

Excellent first two books

Not a Christian fiction guy. I typically lean heavily Sci Fi. This book in many ways leans on the military Sci fi style while still totally not being that.

The Christian lesson lean which can be tedious is mild and innocuous. NOT a deep thinking read. but lots of action, good characters and a suitably twisting plot based solidly in the Judeo-Christian principals of good and evil. Plus RC Bray for the win.

Couldn't stop listening

With most audio books, I'll listen to them off and on for a couple weeks. With this one, I knocked it out in a couple days. Between the engaging lore, fast paced story, and fantastic performance, couldn't turn it off for more than an hour or two. 10/10
