Summary

From Wall Street Journal best-selling author Giana Darling comes an angst-filled romance about what happens after the happily-ever-after for a bad boy biker and the woman he corrupted....

I was settin’ up to live a good life, the kinda life I’d fought hard to deserve.

With a good woman - the best woman - at my side, a degree under my belt, and the whole world at my feet, I was livin’ the kinda happily ever after usually denied the rebellious and the criminal. I’d turned my back on that kinda life, thinkin’ I needed that clean, wholesome kinda happy.

Then the devil came dressed in the wings of an angel and took someone from me.

And I realized I was wrong.

There was no clean and wholesome for a man like me with poetry in his heart and outlaw in his blood. The life I’d been livin’ was only purgatory, holding me over until the time came for me to descend into Hell and pick up the tarnished crown that awaited me.

I was condemning my woman to a life of violence, blood, and heartache, but I had to hope she’d step up and finally be the rough-and-tumble queen to my fallen MC king.

After the Fall can be listened to as a stand-alone romance, but you first meet the couple in Lessons in Corruption (The Fallen Men, #1).

This book almost destroyed me

THIS BOOK IS NOT TO BE MISSED!!!

Narrators Savannah Peachwood and Jacob Morgan did an incredible job as always💕

King and Cress are back and more in love than ever, but true love never runs smoothly as Sergeant Danner is about to put a major spanner in the works with a plot twist you will not see coming.
This book will take you on a rollercoaster of emotions. I can’t wait until the next audiobook comes out.

THIS BOOK.. & THE WHOLE SERIES IS EPIC & AWESOME

I first purchased Book 4 in this thrilling series because hello.. a gritty MC love story + Jacob Morgan + Savannah Peachwood +++ Jason Clarke must surely be great ❤️. However, just a couple of chapters in, and I knew I had to start at the very beginning because I felt the awesome and I clearly didn’t want to miss a thing.. plus I really wanted to get to know each and every one of these damaged biker’s stories. And I’ve been submerged for over a week in their beautiful and darkly twisted world.. riveted to their suspenseful, passionate and dirty lives.. and utterly devoted to the men and women who fight hard for their happy ever afters. A loyal loving brotherhood possessive, obsessive and all fiercely protective over the strong women they give their hearts to.. but in Priest’s story his badly scarred body and soul makes him feel unworthy of his Angel’s love. But she will prove him wrong, she will push his boundaries, she will break his walls down, she will touch what others cannot touch and she will see what no-one else has seen.. and she will show her beautiful, savage, psychopath, killer Enforcer love. Unfortunately though.. no, catistrophically, there is an ungodly God-fearing psychopath hiding in plain sight who has other plans for Bea.. and the brutal chilling killings is his message to her - and to everyone else, that she is destined to be his.

Worth a credit? Yes.. and I’ve happily spent 6 credits getting to this point in The Fallen Men series, and I’ve been thrilled with each and every one. Awed by Giana Darling’s world-building, her ability to give beautiful and sweet.. then dangerous and deadly.. and tragic tears and joy. Her skilful web-building of different romantic and emotional plots within the same sinister sub-plot until now have age-gap romances.. and, like this book, the dual POV’s, the characters and the feels were all brought to life by very talented narrators who made them very addictive five star audiobook.

I’m not too sure why I waited so long to read this book. Maybe it was bc I found Cres to be super annoying in the first book. She turned into a courageous woman with the balls a steel. What ever it was i am happy I finally got my hands on this one.

King is definitely my ultimate book boyfriend. He was a bad a$$ alpha male who went above and beyond to protect the woman he loves. Literally!

I absolutely LOVED the epilogue!!! Angel and Aries were mentioned subtly. Another age gap in the making!!!!

Absolutely phenomenal

I’m obsessed with this series. This particular book in the series is my favorite. I love the fact that Jacob Morgan voices King! I’ve read the physical books and I will absolutely buy all of the audiobooks as well.

Oh, How I Love This Series!

Hands down, listening to this book on audio, for me, made this book a million times better. After reading this book as an eBook it felt a little slow, but being able to listen to the book come to life made the experience even better. Again, like I said in my original review this book had my emotions all over the place. There's just something about these Fallen Men that really gets to me. They are ruthless, and go through so much in this book, but they would do absolutely anything for the people that they love. Jacob Morgan, Savannah Peachwood and Jason Clarke did such a great job bringing these characters back to live again.

Original Review:

After the Fall is the fourth book in the Fallen Men MC series by Giana Darling. It is a follow up book to Lessons in Corruption, which is King and Cressida’s first book, and I recommend that you read it first. As you know, I just read and reviewed Lessons in Corruption and thought it was a good idea for me to dive right into this book after finishing.

To tell you that this book had my emotions all over the place is an understatement. I love the way Giana Darling writes her main characters. They are fully fleshed out and you can really get into their minds, which is one of my favorite things to do while reading. King is so strong, passionate and well beyond his years. Cressida has grown into a beautiful individual who's not scared to chase her dreams or share her feelings with you. They have such a strong love for one another that it just radiates off of the pages.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. However, I wasn't totally glued to my kindle/phone while reading, which was very disappointing for me. I didn't feel this way while reading Lessons in Corruption, so I’m not sure where this one went wrong. I just feel like I was trudging along to get to some action. About halfway through the story did start to pick up, which helped. Other than that, this book was good. The story and characters were written out beautifully and the passion in this book made my heart swoon. Giana Darling really knows how to flesh out and tell a really good story about two people who love one another more than anything in the world and who would do absolutely anything to protect one another.

King!!!!!

Omg. The love of this man knows no bounds. Worth a credit - if you don’t have one buy one. Heart-wrenching at times and achingly devoted, these two will have you wanting to check more boxes in your own love life.

What A Ride!!

This story is fantastic!!
I loved every single thing about this book. It is such a beautiful story that I couldn't stop reading!

I love King and Cress! Their story is one of my favorites. These characters are so freaking lovable. And the family that surrounds them are wonderful.

The loyalty and love these characters have are what makes this story so amazing.

One Of The Most Beautiful Audible Ever.

After The Fall is probably one of the most heartwrenching books I've ever read. There were times I had to put it down and walk away when it first came out, that's how heartbroken I was for Cress and King, how much my heart tore in two for the pain Zeus was forced to suffer again.

The narrator's, Jacob Morgan, Savannah Peachwood, and Jason Clarke brought all that emotion rushing right back up to the surface again and I don't know anyone that could have done the job they did.

There's a section of the book, iykyk, that the tears are just sitting on the surface and Zeus's voice as Cress makes her announcement is just EVERYTHING. I don't know any other narrator that could have brought him, all his leather and smoke, to life in such a way that I had goosebumps.

Giana's choice of narrators, hearing her words all over again, there's a reason this book was one of my favorites of 2020, the audible has helped push it back in to my top 10 of 2021. Listening to this book is, in a strange way, like coming home. The love of the Fallen is all around and reminds me that our found families are often the most important.🖤🍏
