Summary

What’s a girl to do after being ditched at the altar by text message? That’s right. Text. Message. How does she pick up the pieces and move on? I’m no Dear Abby but here’s a little free advice....

  • Advice number one - First, purge your apartment of all things him - by tossing his belongings off the balcony.
  • Advice number two - Do not, I repeat do not, throw anything out into the hallway because you’ll injure your hot new neighbor.
  • Advice number three - When said neighbor brings over Chinese Food do not let him stay and keep you company. It’s awkward when you realize he’s your boss.
  • Advice number four - Accept his offer to help you with your side business but think twice before using a date to his sister’s wedding as collateral.
  • Advice number five - Investigate who your mystery neighbor really is. Don’t trust his word even if he’s the world’s best kisser,

If you listen to nothing else, pay attention to that last one. It’s the most important and will save you a lot of heartache. XO, lovesick in lake starlight.

Another wonderful Bailey story

This is the 3rd eldest Bailey siblings’ story. Brooklyn was planning ‘the wedding of the century’ during book 1....much to her family’s consternation. No one really liked her fiancé but they put up with the guy because Brooklyn loved him. Then he breaks up with her on the day of her wedding!! Jerk! While Brooklyn is having a meltdown at her new apartment, she hits her new neighbor in the head with a book. Wyatt Whittmoore is in Lake Starlight to review the operations of the resort that his family just purchased...but he’s doing it incognito. He didn’t expect to be welcomed to the small town with a book to the head but that’s how he meets his neighbor. The pair becomes friends when he keeps Brooklyn’s secret that she didn’t go on her honeymoon trip but stayed home licking her wounds. Then he learns that Brooklyn also works in housekeeping at the resort. Over the next few weeks, Wyatt evaluates the resort while getting to know Brooklyn. Can the jilted bride find true love with the NY hotel heir? Lots of humor with the Bailey clan, Grandma Dory and the Buzzwheel blog. Great story and an ending that makes you eager for book 3!!

Maybe he can still be her rebound guy.... he needs a date to his sisters wedding.... can he take her and get mom off his back for a bit and not fall even more for her ?? Jack ass of a dad thinks she’s not good enough ( for anything ) but add in the rest of her siblings and grandma and the fun ensues. Come enjoy the ride
