Summary

Sarah Denning is a military journalist with the Army in the Middle East when her convoy is attacked and she's taken hostage. When former Army Ranger Gavin Black is asked by his old unit commander - Sarah's imposing father - to plan an extremely risky rescue, he reluctantly agrees and successfully executes it.

Back in the US, Sarah is livid when she's discharged on a false psychiatric evaluation and vows to return to the Army. Until she learns of her brother's suicide. Unable to believe her brother would do such a thing, she puts her plans on hold and enlists Gavin to help her discover the truth. What they uncover may be the biggest story of Sarah's career - if she can survive long enough to write it.

Strap in for another breakneck nail-biter from best-selling romantic suspense author Lynette Eason that will have you up listening long into the night.

Okay...

Story wasn't as good as the previous book. Repetitive thoughts & feelings - no thanks.

2nd of 3 in series - Danger Never Sleeps

I really like this series & the mixture of suspense, romance & faith. Would have liked more of the faith parts & our human struggles with faith & God... they were uplifting. Now I'm ready to begin book 3 & hope there will be more books in the series. The only thing I'd like to fix is the repetitive "hitch" by the narrator at the end of sentences. It was distracting at times.

Excellent!

I loved the story. It had me gripped all the way through. Excellent plot and ending. The narration was wonderful. It was an enjoyment to listen to her voice and performance of the characters. I would highly recommend this book to anyone.

I tried, I Really did TRY

to listen but, although I enjoy Lynette Eason’s stories, I simply canNOT endure Beaulieu’s affected over-the-top hysterical narration.

Best of Series

The story was great in this book. When I read the blurb I didn’t know if I would like this one. It was the best of the series so far. Great characters! I also enjoyed the narration. I hope the next books can live up to this one.

Couldn't Finish - Narration

Narration was so distracting that I couldn't finish. Such an odd cadence. Real slow, then rapid fire for no reason. I know this is supposed to be in the suspense category, but not because of the narration. The performance actually made me so uncomfortable that I could not focus on the story. The narrator had good voices for individual characters and did natural sounding male voices. Gotta change that odd cadence - it is a real turn off.

Good read

The story started out a bit rocky. A lot of belligerence from the female lead but then things picked up & there was a good storyline. Enjoyed it very much.
