About this listen

*A standalone novel set in the world of St. Mary's
**INCLUDES the prequel, The Wild Mustang & The Dancing Fairy

Two years ago, Reed Jackson betrayed Calliope Thorne and broke her heart. So she stole his most prized possession—a white mustang—and drove it into the lake for revenge.

Now, Callie is stuck at a reform school while Reed is off at college, living his life without repercussions.

Until he comes back.

With him comes back all the feelings that Callie has been trying to bury: anger and heartbreak.

But most of all, desire.

At the sight of his beautiful but lying lips and his gunmetal gray eyes that still taunt and smolder when he looks at her.

Whatever though. It’s not as if Callie is ever going to fall for her ex-boyfriend again. Or let him corner her in a bar one night and touch her, kiss her…

Neither is she going to kiss him back. Or worse, sleep with him.

Because that would make her naïve and foolish.

Oh, and also pregnant.

And there’s no way Callie is ever going to get pregnant at eighteen and with Reed’s baby, no less. The guy she hates. The guy who taught her all about heartbreak.

Who might look like a gorgeous hero but really is the villain of her story.

This was my first Saffron A. Kent book (well aside from the prequel, The Wild Mustang & The Dancing Fairy, which was also included in the audio version of this book), and I fell in love and was hooked from beginning to end. It was angsty and heartbreaking and emotional, but full of ALL THE FEELS and so much love.

Callie and Reed's relationship is complicated at best. There aren't rainbows, hearts and flowers, but beneath the angst and the tension, it was so easy to feel the love and see Reed, truly see Reed and his heart even when he tried to hide it. His protectiveness of his Fae was truly something, and while he couldn't outright give his heart, he gave just about everything else until he could fully be all in.

I highly enjoyed the different aspects of this story. It had a remarkable love story, but I also loved the story with Callie and her brothers and I enjoyed the friendships Callie made along the way, and I definitely think Pete needs mentioning because his relationship with Reed was truly special.

I highly enjoyed this author's writing style and Stefanie Kay and Gideon Frost did a phenomenal job bringing out all of the emotions of this story. Stephanie Kay was brilliant as Callie in her narration. I feel as though I felt everything as I was listening to this story. She did that good of a job. I would love to listen to more of her work, but I would definitely recommend both narrators. I cannot wait to dive in to more of this author's work in the future. #PinkFlamingoProductions #TheFlock

OH THE FEELS......

I’m not an emotional person and I don’t really cry at books but omg this nearly made me cry. I had a lump in my throat at the end of chapter 27 and it’s stayed there until almost the end when Roman has the talk with Callie ❤️

So good

Callie has spent the last two years regretting giving her heart to Reed as he not only destroyed it but almost did the same to her life as well. She was the apple of her brothers’ eyes until they found out who she was spending her time with especially since he was responsible for her finding herself at St. Mary’s. She has created a new life for herself only to see it all come crashing down when Reed comes back into her life.

Reed has always wanted to protect Callie from everyone including not only himself but her as well. What some might view as a callous act has much deeper motives and he is willing to take everything she wants to dish out as long as he knows she is safe. He reacts to her attempts to infuriate him in ways he never expected and now two are about to become three.

Reed owns the mistakes of the past but also believes that the ends justify the means while Callie is still bitter with all that inspired and isn’t about to just forgive and forget. Callie is the perfect mix of sweet and spunky which is the perfect match for Reed and his alpha protector tendencies and the chemistry, emotion and drama between them all burn hot. The narrators managed to convey all the angst and insecurities that both characters were feeling which made them seem more real and relatable. 🎧 Audiobook Obsession

Reed and Callie!

All the angst and steam one comes to expect in a SAK novel is in this book. Young woman done wrong by her ex but she still can't stop pining for him. When she gives in to his villainous sexy ways all the sexiness ensues. But this time the consequences of even more dire than a wild mustang sinking in a lake. Reed and Callie were like a wild fire that should have been extinguished but tore a path of destruction through her heart. But you watch it all consumed by their flames and wanting to burn along with them.

The narration was really good and it helped you immerse yourself in their story.

If you love second chance romance and antiheroes that have to earn their redemption you will enjoy this book.

Gorgeous indeed

A Gorgeous Villian, St Mary's Rebels Book 2 by Saffron Kent is an angsty NA romance with fantastic characters and lots of heartache.

I loved Callie & Reed's second chance romance, these characters captured my heart, I was hooked in by their story of hard-earned love, forgiveness and redemption.

I felt so bad for Reed throughout this story, he struggled so much with feeling like he didn't deserve love and good things in his life, I was rooting for him to get his HEA.

The audiobook for A Gorgeous Villian is absolutely fantastic, I adored Stefanie Kay's narration. Stefanie Kay predominately narrated this book but there were occasional chapters in Reed's POV narrated by Gideon Frost.

This audiobook also included the prequel novella The Wild Mustang & The Dancing Fairy.
