I have struggled with my weight for my entire life. About 7 years ago I had Gastric Sleeve Surgery and my life changed nearly overnight! I went from 320 pounds to 150 in what seemed like the blink of an eye. I knew that surgery wasn’t a cure, and I have seen firsthand friends and family who lost a lot of weight after surgery only to gain it all back and more within a couple of years. I was determined to make sure that did NOT happen to me! I had done quite well for the first several years, I was able to maintain myself between 160 to 170 pounds without too much effort, but then… 2020. Need I say more? Less activity, stress, and an overall lack of “give-a-darn” lead to my straying from the path I have so carefully traveled. I found myself tipping the scales at more than 200 pounds for the first time in many years. I finally came to my senses and decided I HAD to do something. Continuing to gain weight was NOT an option. I found this book almost by accident, and something about it called to me. I am SO glad I found it! I can tell that this book has changed my life almost as much as the original surgery did! I am now in the right frame of mind and with the tips in this book I have brought myself back to the happy side of 200 and I am well on my way to finding my goal once again! I would recommend this book to anyone who is thinking of surgery, but also to those like me who have had the surgery and need help keeping a healthy lifestyle.
