Summary

He’s my hero...literally.

Super heroes don’t exist, and the Ghost of Detroit? Just a rumor.

Except it’s not.

I was taken straight off the street, drugged, and put up for sale...until he saved me.

There’s something between us, something charged and electric, that sends shivers down my spine...and his.

But the people who are after me aren’t going to stop.

Unless we make them.

Wonderful book

This sees 2 orphans come together. A Uni student who takes a DNA test gets kidnapped and the Ghost comes to save him, little do they know that they are Dragon and Omega. Only Lena and her team know that. Beautifully written and narrated

A little different, but great story

If you have read or listened to the prior books in this series, you should be forgiven if you think somehow a book from a different series was slipped in on accident, because this one felt very different to me. Both MCs are completely unaware of what they are, but they are drawn together nonetheless. One of them, Collan, has what seem to be superpowers, so he plays a kind of superman, getting drug dealers and other small-time criminals off the streets...because he can. Collan, or the Ghost of Detroit, is a fairy tale to Jake until he is kidnapped and taken captive be a cruel woman. Collan and Jake meet and are instantly and unequivocally drawn to one another. Eventually, the cruel woman reveals the truth, and the two men send out a call for help to the others they believe must be out there. This is an exciting , thrilling, and suspenseful tale. The dragons and omegas don't make their appearance until the end when Collan and Jake find out who they truly are, and Collan is revealed to have a power that can aid all his kind. I loved the story, and the MCs, although I have to admit that at first I kept wondering what was going on and where the dragons were. LOL The narration was very good, well-paced, and really expressed the attitudes and emotions of the characters. I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook at my request and am voluntarily leaving this honest review

Loved it

I love the fact the narrator has carried the characters throughout, he once again tells the story in such a thrilling way. The story really draws you in, it feels like you are reading it not been told.

A Wonderful Story

This is the fifth book in The Guardian Dragons Series. A fascinating book with good writing. The plot was entertaining and it was steady throughout the book. I found the story and characters great. The characters were developed and thought out. Jake and Collan are the MC’s of this book. The narration was done well it was expressive and not monotone. I can recommend this book as a good read. I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book for an honest review.

There’s something magical between us

So it’s the conclusion of this exciting guardian dragon series and I’m sad to let them go. But I think the ending to this lovely series was really spectacular! I loved Collan and Jake together. Both were trying to survive and figure out what’s happening to them. And I like the original idea of common enemy for the dragons and other supernatural beings. That’s original and unique. And I like how they take their time with their relationship. Another surprise with this series is the narrator J.K. Frysta and oh wow, he really delivered this book. I enjoyed listening it a lot and I’m going to miss this universe. 4.25 There’s something magical between us stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ Audio rating Story - 4 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Narration - 4 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Performance - 4.5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 Overall - 4.25 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨

Excellent Series love the narrator JK Frysta!

5 Blue Roses 4 Blue Flames Narrator J.K. Frysta delivered the exciting conclusion of the Guardian Dragon series. His voices for the dragons were phenomenal! He was able to carry the tension and anxiety, but also switch to humorous moments, which guaranteed a highly enjoyable dragon experience. I enjoyed his performances so much so, I’m nominating this whole series for a Blue Encore! You know, go big or go home! The plot and characters were original and very intriguing. I loved the approach to what omegas are and how dragons ended up not having any female dragons left. The whole series was well planned and I honestly can not point out any loose ends or plot holes. The sex scenes were original to each couple, not the same (cookie cutter) at any stage. The approach to the coupling or knotting itself was as unique as the characters who committed the acts. In book 5, both the dragon and omega never had a clue about what they are. Both were orphans who grew up as humans. The story about the discovery of their true natures and inborn instincts while experiencing their mutual attractions was expertly written. I enjoyed the innocence and almost naive explorations. The history of the dragons and the rest of the supernatural beings was well laid out and totally believable. I loved the ancients and how they deliberated for years at a time, actually time means nothing to them. It was very funny to me as I could see in my mind’s eye, how these dragons sat and converse back and forth. The well rounded secondary characters created a deeper connection to the series, which I think was another deeper foundation built for spin-offs. The mutual enemy of the dragons and other supernatural beings “The Templars” was another original idea, especially because it coincides with fundamental human history. They were extremely “hateable” especially the “evil scientist”. This testifies about the broad scope of the series, instead of just boy meets dragon and dragon knocks up the boy who happens to be an omega, who has babies and they live happily ever after. I definitely recommend this series. Happy Listening

New Twist

This book took the series in a semi new direction, with Collan not knowing anything, him and Jake trying to survive while figuring out what is going on. The narrator did a good job.

Realistic, gritty, urban world

I have been saying all along in this series that one of the top things I like about it is that information about how this world works now, its history, legends, politics and feuds is not just dumped out in chunks but delicately scattered through each book like puzzle pieces. Well this book really tested that premise because it isn't clear who these guys are, what is going to happen with them, why they are drawn together and what is going on with those at the ranch. I loved it! I liked the non-sequential time and the fact that the authors trusted their readers to be intelligent enough to follow the story and figure some things out. The world feels more modern and real here than in the previous volumes. The Ghost kind of reminded me of the Andrew Vachss novels where there were avengers out there in a gritty, urban landscape that you didn't totally understand. The hot romance continues as always. Only one more book to go, can't wait to read it but will be very sad to see this series end. I thought the narrator had the perfect voice for this entry. The dark shades in his voice combined with his ability to get the character emotions right made for a great listen.

The story is good

But for me and maybe this is because I missed the 4th book I'm not sure but the whole first part doesn't really fit with the rest of the series. I felt lost to be honest they bring it around to tie it in but eh for me it didn't really work I guess. Taking it alone it's an interesting story and Frysta does a pretty good job with the narration with a few little odd spots here and there.
