Guardian Dragons

I don't have time for mysterious strangers. Even the really hot ones. I met him in a bar the night before I left to move across the country - and I never expected to see him again. But then he followed me.... It would be creepy if he was just a stalker - but he’s not. He’s a protector, shielding me from a group of nutjobs who believe in dragons. He saved my life - but now it’s my turn. And apparently, the nutjobs aren’t wrong. Dragons are real. And I hold the key to saving them all.

I want him, but I can’t mate him. I’m only attempting to do the right thing. He’s an omega in danger, and I have the means to get him to safety. I’m not planning to keep him. If he understands the danger he’s in and still wants to leave, I’ll let him. And if he finds another dragon to love, I’ll step aside. After all, I’m not worthy of an omega. Not like this. Not while I’m...broken.

I’m a proud Templar, like my daddy was, and his daddy. It’s my job to rid the earth of dragon scum...and the money isn’t bad, either. I never expected a dragon to show up on my doorstep, though. Or offer to help me find a cure for my Mama’s illness. And most of all, I never expected that I’d fall for him.

The police stopped searching for my kidnapped brother after the trail went cold. I didn’t. I’m going to find him. My brother - he’s all I’ve got left. Until I met the dragons. Well...just one dragon, in particular. Being with a dragon means accepting danger. But this rescue attempt? It’s not just dangerous.

He’s my hero...literally. Super heroes don’t exist, and the Ghost of Detroit? Just a rumor. Except it’s not. I was taken straight off the street, drugged, and put up for sale...until he saved me. There’s something between us, something charged and electric, that sends shivers down my spine...and his. But the people who are after me aren’t going to stop. Unless we make them.

He was the enemy: Calavastrix the Storm. He’d razed our ranch once already and threatened my family and friends. But now, injured, he has come to us for help. I wasn’t supposed to fall for him. I told myself this, over and over, as I nursed him back to health. He is only a prisoner. He is still the enemy. But his dragon tongue has a way of getting under my skin.
