Inventive way of presenting a Dalziel & Pascoe story. So well read that it's hard to believe that it is done by one person. Plenty of twists to keep you page turning and just when you think it's over there's more.

I really enjoyed this bonkers murderous romp through Sandytown. I loved Dalziel’s chats with his dictaphone Mildred, and Charlie’s hilarious emails to her sister. Jonathan Keeble’s narration was great, and he got almost all of the accents spot on. It was so entertaining and I was sorry it had to end.

Hill uses a dual narrative, unfamiliar in the Dalziel novels and it threw me at first. The story is up to standard though, the dialogue sharp and the narration excellent.
