This is the second in the Tallean Mercenaries book and is narrated by Troy Duran. Mia is safe on Reka 5 with her mother and determined to carve out a life for herself, after being rescued from their Dominion captors. Unlike her mother, Mia knows that it is unlikely that they will ever get back to Earth. Despite this her mother keeps trying to set her up with one of the men originally from Earth as she is insistent that they will be going back. Mia finds herself attracted to Arus, a Tallean mercenary, and someone she is quite happy to have a fling with before he leaves. Arus is not interested in a relationship or the mate bond but something in Mia gets under his skin and he finds he can't stay away from her. But there are suspicious goings on with the perimeter fence, a possible betrayal from within and Mia discovers just how far the man her mother wants her to choose will go to have her. What will it take for Mia to finally realises what Arus means to her. I really enjoyed listening to Arus and Mia's story. Troy Duran's narration is superb and you feel that you are there as you listen. With so much drama and action, I highly recommend this spicy book from Lynnea.
