A teenage girl is found murdered, encased in glass.

Detective Dove Milson is called out to a chilling murder scene by the coast. The murder is a replica of the work of a serial killer known as the Glass Doll Murderer, who entombed his victims in glass to watch them die. He would've be the prime suspect, but he's already dead.

The kicker? Dove's own niece was one of the Glass Doll's original victims. When her other niece goes missing, it looks like the copycat killer plans to repeat history in more ways than one. Will she be the next glass doll?

Time is running out. Dove must race to catch a killer before it’s too late. Until a new lead tears a hole in the case....

would not have paid for it but it was a decent story, just spoiled by a rather flat, monotonous narration. zoned out of it at points but didn't miss anything that wasn't repeated later.

it's was alright

I saw this on the audible plus catalogue and it intrigued me. At the start and the way it jumped around a little I wasn't sure if I missed a prequel but slowly all the different strands came together and by the middle I was hooked, so much so that have bought the next two in the series as I want to understand how the dynamics play out.
i wasn't sure on the structure of the police department as it seemed to be different to others and Dove had a lot of independence but it worked for the story.

Interesting start to the series

Like the way the narrator doesn’t attempt to impersonate the different characters or over dramatise like Johnathan Keeble. Will check out more books from this series.

Holds attention, great story

thoroughly enjoyed this story. There were a few loose ends and I was convinced it was going to turn out differently but that's the key to a great story. can't wait to read more
