Zeke Freeman is an architect, developer, and host of the Radical Hospitality Podcast. Raised in East Texas, he built his career at the intersection of design and development, believing the best buildings don't simply serve a function—they tell a story.

He is the founder and principal of ROOT Architecture & Development, specializing in boutique hospitality, adaptive reuse, and projects that create lasting value. Before launching ROOT in 2012, he worked at nationally recognized firms including Lake|Flato Architects and OZ Architecture.

His work spans the entire development process—from concept and design through financing and construction. His latest project, the Red Hotel in Morrison, Colorado, beside Red Rocks Amphitheatre, became reality after more than three years of perseverance and thirty-one bank rejections.

Zeke lives in Colorado with his wife, Amy, and their two sons, Nate and Titus. Whether trail running, climbing, snowboarding, or fly fishing, he believes the mountains have as much to teach about building as any studio.
