My favorite stories are ones that make me think. Even a short story can live on in my head long after I've read it. Hopefully I have accomplished that with my first collection of short sci-fi stories. I am long time fan of 'hard' science fiction, where only a few leaps forward in time and technology advances make a story compelling and believable. But I also enjoy a bit of mystery, fantasy - even occasionally horror, which one of my stories ultimately becomes. Unexpectedly, I now understand writers when they say "the story wrote itself" or "the character did things I hadn't expected". Both these things occurred as I wrote this collection. Weird but true. I hope you enjoy these stories, and thank you for any and all feedback. More to come!
